Consciousness
March 15th, 2006 at 08:02 am by Administrator in PhilosophyMy terrible spelling has landed me a very interesting find. I was looking up realty on google to look for a house when i actually typed “reality”. That brought me to this site about a huge convention coming to Tucson on Consciousness. (http://www.consciousness.arizona.edu/) Only problem is I don’t have any vacation I can take from work to go to it. If nothing else I might just take a half day unpaid to see one lecture that I find very interesting. It will be talking about the quantum mechanics of the brain and how our minds may all be connected thru quantum entanglement. I actually wrote a paper on this in college. Apparently we now live less than a mile from the national epicenter for studies on human consciousness (The University of Arizona). Who would have thunk it?

Taxes In Progress
March 15th, 2006 at 07:48 am by Administrator in RamblingsI’m finally getting started on my taxes. Filling out tax forms isn’t that hard, but getting all my junk from the previous year together is a nightmare. You can see stacks of papers everywhere on the webcam. So I’m working on setting up a document management system to scan everything into. This way I’ll never lose an important document again. Just having some problems with the computer that I’m serving it on going too slow. I’m going to have to blow some cash on some new hardware pretty soon.
